As our 2018/19 financial year came to a close, it was time for Secura to celebrate and reflect on the achievements of our continued success and growth within the industry.
Our celebrations took place at Hencote, an award-winning vineyard, restaurant and accommodation venue situated high on the hills overlooking Shrewsbury. It was truly a special weekend.
Secura has enjoyed another massively successful year with in-year revenue growth of over 50%, an addition of 25 new customers and the launch of two new products, our managed Azure service, Azure Control, and cost-effective VMware Disaster Recovery solution, Cloud DR.
Of course, the biggest news of the year came in May, as it was announced that Secura had been acquired by UK-based hybrid cloud, data centre and communications managed services provider Node4. This acquisition brings exciting new benefits to our customers and we’re really looking forward to continuing expanding our service offerings in the coming financial year.

The team recorded another significant achievement in May, when Secura were named VMware’s VCPP Cloud Partner of the Year 2019. It was a real honour to be recognised by our Partners at VMware for our innovative work alongside their team; here’s to another 12 months of VMware-supported Secura solutions!

2019 also saw an expansion into the North of the country with the opening of our new Manchester office. Acting as our sales and marketing office, and with new faces constantly being added, this office is developing into another dynamic, vibrant Secura team!
In October, members of the Secura team took part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London, to raise money for London’s Air Ambulance charity. An incredible effort saw £8,000 raised, far surpassing the original target. A huge congratulations to all who ran and raised money for such a great cause, and a big thank you to everyone who donated.

Although the forecast threatened to dampen our spirits at our end-of-year celebrations, the rain eventually subsided, and we kicked things off with a BBQ in the Grange; Hencote’s private farmhouse. With the weather now on our side, we partied in style, overlooking the stunning views of the vineyard and the Shropshire countryside.

After lunch on Saturday, we were treated to Hencote’s renowned vineyard tour and wine tasting experience. It was brilliant to learn the processes behind every bottle of their high-quality English wine, and of course, indulge in the wine tasting afterwards!

On Saturday evening we held ‘The Ollie’s’, and Secura CEO Ollie Beaton presented awards to the stand-out employees of the year. This was followed by an incredible 8-course tasting menu in Hencote’s restaurant ‘The View’.

After the meal, everyone got their dancing shoes on and a live band played music into the early hours. It was the perfect end to a brilliant weekend, and the ideal way to celebrate another successful year for Secura.
