The Secura team are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been named VMware’s VCPP Cloud Partner of the Year in 2019!
It is a huge honour for us to be recognised by our partners at VMware for the work our team have done this year, adding new VMware technologies to our service offerings and growing our VMware customer base.
We’d like to give massive thanks to all the VMware team who have supported us this year, particularly those people we work with day-to day, namely Alex Tanner, Vikki Ames and Jacob Manson – thank you!
In a previous post, we announced our nomination in the Cloud Partner of the Year category at the annual VMware Partner Recognition dinner, which was held at the very trendy Curtain Hotel in London last night, the 9th of May.
It was a fantastic event and a great opportunity for all the attendees to meet, network and relax in fantastic surroundings. The evening was hosted with style by Alanzo Blackstock, Director, Partner Organisation (UK&I) and a good time and good food was enjoyed by everyone in attendance.
Following dinner, the awards began. When it was time for the Cloud Provider of the Year award to be announced, the worthy winner was…Computacenter, congratulations!
It was at this point the Secura team were steeling ourselves for another crack at things in 2020, that VMware announced a new award, the VMware Cloud Provider Programme, Cloud Partner of the Year. This new award is designed to recognise the contributions and innovation that comes from the over 450 VCPP partners in the UK and we are absolutely thrilled to be named as inaugural winners!
Secura have worked really closely with VMware this year on new service launches, like our vCloud Availability DR solution, in marketing, planning co-branded events and campaigns and on the commercial front, starting to work more closely together to build compelling proposals and solutions for our customers and prospects.
Secura CEO, Ollie Beaton commented:
To receive the VCPP Cloud Partner of the Year Award is a fantastic achievement for Secura and I’m delighted that all the hard work the team have put in has been recognised by VMware. It will give us huge motivation to do even greater things next year!
Finally, congratulations to all the other winners on the night and everyone who got nominated, which is a fantastic achievement in itself. We look forward to (hopefully) seeing you again next year!
