The Secura driving day is regularly held at Mercedes-Benz World inviting along people from businesses currently evaluating our services, to find out a little more about us, our people, and to speak directly to some of the customers who have already made the move. Oh, and to drive some ludicrously fast cars.
One of the most important things that our guests tell us they get from the driving day (apart from the fast cars – I mentioned those didn’t I?), is the chance to speak to some of our current customers face-to-face, about their experiences with Secura.
It is a unique opportunity to meet people from businesses with similar challenges, ask as many questions as you like and find out more about how the Virtual Private Cloud has helped them overcome them.
Getting a first-hand account of how Secura’s service, support and our migration process works in the ‘real world’ is the best way for people to get a sense of Secura as a business and partner.
As well as the opportunity to talk with all the guests and Secura team, the days starts with some brief presentations in the conference facilities, first from the Secura team and then from two of our customers.
The customer presentations give an insight into their respective businesses and how the the technology and service they receive from Secura impacts on their business and helps them achieve their goals. A big thanks to Neil from Kirona and Warren from TIW Group, who presented at the latest edition of the event (you can see them in the video above).
But don’t just take our word it, below is what Grant from Smiffys thought of the day, when he and the Smiffys team attended the driving day recently:
We just want to thank you for Friday’s day out.
I must say that hearing the guest speakers made a bigger and confirming impression on me reflecting what we thought about Secura and the work and customer care ethic.
The race track and 4×4 track were amazing and it was also good to get to know your team better and meet them face to face.

Mercedes-Benz World now features a smaller (non-banked), test circuit that gives people the opportunity to stretch the legs of a range of AMG cars, as well as a skid pan and braking straight to test the ability of the drivers and cars to cope with hazards and adverse weather conditions.
There is also the off-road track that features some pretty dramatic obstacles to negotiate with Mercedes 4×4 vehicles. Almost vertical banking, gullies and banks are just a few of the trials you face under the watchful eyes of the trained instructors.
We hold driving days at regular intervals throughout the year and if you’d like to come along and find out more about Secura, both from us and our customers, then drop us a line.
Finally, a big thanks to all our guests and customers who make these events such great days and if you haven’t already, you can find out more about the day by watching the videos above (and below).
Mercedes-Benz World is a fantastic venue for the event, with first-rate facilities, attractions and exhibits for both petrol-heads and non-car lovers alike and the showroom and Mercedes museum is a great place to spend an hour or two.
The centre has a huge amount of motor racing heritage attached to it and is built within the Brooklands motor racing circuit, which was the very first purpose-built banked motor race circuit in the world.
The first race meeting at Brooklands took place in 1907 in the inaugural Montague Cup race. The old banked corners of the circuit are still visible around the site, particularly as you find yourself almost vertical in a 4×4 Mercedes as you make your way around the purpose built off-road track (gulp).
We host a Secura Driving Day once a quarter and even more regularly as demand dictates. You can view some of our previous driving days below (with our most recent at the top of the page). Enjoy!
