Secura are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a place to offer cloud services on the latest iteration of the Government’s G-Cloud framework.
The G-Cloud 11 framework launched on July 2nd, 2019 with an updated and improved range of cloud solutions and services available to public sector organisations through the Digital Marketplace website.
Government Cloud, commonly known as G-Cloud, is the UK government’s programme to help their organisations and public sector bodies easily adopt cloud-based and digital services.
The framework is supported by 2013’s ‘Cloud Policy’, created to encourage the public sector to make the most of cloud solutions instead of onsite alternatives. Organisations can search hosting suppliers as well as cloud-based and digital technology services in the UK via the Digital Marketplace website and make statistic-led decisions, with the peace of mind they are purchasing from an approved G-Cloud supplier.
Previously known as the ‘CloudStore’, the Digital Marketplace makes G-Cloud suppliers accessible in one, easy to use website.
Services within the G-Cloud framework are split into 3 main categories; Cloud Hosting, Cloud Software, and Cloud Support, and the Marketplace website is designed to streamline the process of selling and purchasing cloud services with each solution listing available with a complete performance and specification breakdown.
A rigorous application process ensures G-Cloud suppliers are compliant with required UK business legislation, and in line with G-Cloud 11’s additional focus on cybersecurity requirements, how they approach data security and the relevant security accreditations they hold.
Secura CEO, Ollie Beaton, commented:
“We’ve been a G-Cloud supplier for many years now, so we’re delighted that our Virtual Private Cloud platform and new Azure Control and Cloud DR services have been made available to public sector customers as part of the new G-Cloud 11 framework. Our critical cloud hosting solutions and focus on security are a great fit for the public sector and we’re very much looking forward to speaking with public sector organisations over the coming year.”
Secura’s Virtual Private Cloud platform offers a secure, highly available, multi-tenant cloud hosting service, specifically designed for critical websites and applications.
Pricing is flexible, with pay-as-you-go and contracted models available (and a mix of the two), making it incredibly simple to align budgets with business requirements. Our UK-based service team are available 24/7/365 to deal with any issues or requests.
Getting started with Microsoft’s Azure platform or managing your existing Azure environment can be a complex task.
Our Azure Control service gives organisations access to an expert and qualified team to help maximise the benefits that Azure can deliver. We can help design, build and manage secure Azure infrastructure that delivers your hosting objectives and realises a strong return on your investment.
The third and final service now available on the G-Cloud 11 framework is Cloud DR; a robust and cost-effective disaster recovery solution for VMware based workloads.
This VMware native cloud-based disaster recovery solution enables near instant recovery of protected virtual machines from our VPC infrastructure.
Built on VMware vCloud Availability, Cloud DR is an incredibly cost-effective disaster recovery solution that is simple to setup and easy to manage via a self-service web portal, with full sandbox testing available at any time.
