FarmWizard Make the Move to the Virtual Private Cloud

Secura are very pleased to welcome agricultural software provider, FarmWizard, to our Virtual Private Cloud platform.

About FarmWizard

FarmWizard has developed a range of cloud based software that allows farms to manage and record all of their livestock, milk production and supply chain from a secure web interface or mobile app.

Founded in 2004 by former information technology architect, Terry Canning, FarmWizard now supports over 1200 farmers worldwide, with users in the UK, North and South America and Africa.

In addition to day-to-day farm management, the FarmWizard Global Supplier Chain Manager application supports the vital relationship between farmers and global retailers with functionality that improves the visibility, traceability and performance monitoring of their livestock. It collects and organises data on animals at farms to collate livestock levels, weight performance, health statuses and feed control, giving the completely transparent, end-to-end accountability that is now so vital to modern supermarkets and their customers.

Secure, Scalable, Supporting Infrastructure

Secura will support FarmWizard’s range of applications with the secure scalability offered by our Virtual Private Cloud platform (VPC).

Their applications will benefit from resilient, high-performance infrastructure with the flexibility to scale their resources at any time to meet their growing demand. The VPC platform offers native backup and DR capabilities to secure FarmWizard application data against any loss and our Tier 3 + data centre adds a further layer of protection with rigorous physical security measures and ISO 27001 certified processes.

FarmWizard Founder, Terry Canning said:

I had grown disillusioned with our previous provider and their lack of personal service and understanding of my business needs. This is very much in contrast to my experience so far with Secura, who have worked incredibly hard to get my new service up and running with minimal disruption to our operations.

Secura CEO, Ollie Beaton commented:

We’re extremely happy to welcome FarmWizard to the virtual private cloud, I think it will be a great fit for their business. The platform offers an ideal foundation for SaaS delivery and I think our infrastructure is going to provide significant performance, reliability and cost benefits and really help support their ongoing expansion and development.
