Accountant vs. Mud

A Match Made in Heaven?

On Saturday 25th of October the Secura Chief Financial Officer, Eddie Beaton, will be taking part in the Tough Mudder Event at Matterley Bowl, Alresford Road in Winchester.

The event will raise much needed funds for the Help for Heroes charity and consists of a quite frighteningly difficult and muddy assault course spread over 10 – 12 agonizing miles. That’s 10 to 12 miles, with lots of jumping, climbing and crawling through mud. Lots and lots of energy sapping, exhausting mud. Very much not ‘business as usual’ for Eddie. Ouch.

A quote from the Tough Mudder website reads “Tough Mudder events are hardcore obstacle courses designed to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie.” It will certainly do that – I bet audits have never looked so good!

Rather Him than Me

This will be a suitably testing challenge in aid of a very worthy cause. If you are interested in finding out more about Tough Mudder, visit their website here: https://toughmudder.co.uk.

If you would like to sponsor Eddie for the event on the 25th, the link to his team (appropriately named the ‘Crap Commandos’, take from that what you will) donation page can be found here: https://www.eventbrite.com/donate/crap-commandos-edward-beaton/1324861

Any sponsorship will be greatly received, as will words of encouragement that can be left as comments below. I’m off now to make sure I have my expenses approved before the 25th.

Good luck Eddie!
