Setting Maintenance Mode on Windows Servers

Secura Service Desk

The Secura Service Desk Team use ConnectWise Automate to manage and monitor servers under Managed OS contracts. This agent will alert us when servers or critical services are offline.

To prevent Secura from receiving false alerts, we ask that customers place their servers in Maintenance Mode before carrying out any work which may trigger high priority tickets within our service desk.

Setting Maintenance Mode will also prevent our automated monitoring platform from attempting to automatically restart critical services while work is being carried out.

Please follow the instructions and screenshots below to set Maintenance Mode.

Steps

  • From the Setting ‘Maintenance Mode’ can be done from the Secura Notification icon on your server.

Right Click the Secura Logo

Above: Right Click the Secura Logo.

  • Right click the Secura logo and expand ‘Maintenance Mode’.
  • You can then select the required Maintenance length or choose to end the Maintenance Window.

Expand Maintenance Mode and select required Maintenance Length or choose to end the Maintenance Window

Above: Expand Maintenance Mode and select required Maintenance Length or choose to end the Maintenance Window.

Keep Us Informed

Please be aware that setting Maintenance Mode on a server will not pause website monitoring, so if we are monitoring your websites, we will still be alerted.

With this in mind, prior to carrying out any maintenance, please inform our Service Desk Team on the details below:
