This June, five members of the Secura team will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge, walking 26 miles (much of it upwards) in 24 hours, to raise vital funds for London’s Air Ambulance charity.
Ollie, Ed, Dan Nichols, Neal and Sally will be hiking Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon – the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales – climbing over 9,800 feet accumulatively, with the aim of raising £15,000 to support the charity.
Last week, four of the team (Ollie, Dan Nichols, Neal and Sally) decided it would be a good idea to get some practice in and donned their new walking boots and waterproofs to take on one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
Ingleborough, standing at 2,372 feet tall, seemed like a good starting point, so the team set out in search of the peak and managed to complete the 9-mile walk in just under 3 hours.
Take a look at some of the photos below from our Yorkshire adventure:

Firstly, we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has already sponsored us for this challenge; your support is greatly appreciated by the Secura team and everyone at London’s Air Ambulance charity.
Your donations will go a long way to supporting and helping London’s Air Ambulance to continue and develop their services. In 2016, the charity treated 1864 patients – all of which wouldn’t be possible without the essential support they receive. To see how your donation will help, please visit londonsairambulance.co.uk
We are very proud to say that we have already raised over £3,500, however, we’re still a long way off our target and need your help to support us with this challenge and reach our goal of £15,000.

We are taking on this gruelling challenge to help support London’s Air Ambulance charity continue their incredible work delivering advanced trauma teams to critically injured people in and around London.
The charity is very close to Ollie and Eddie’s hearts and this challenge and the money that we raise is dedicated to the memory of their mum, Valerie.
Any donations, no matter how big or small, will be hugely appreciated, and will help us to make a real difference to London’s Air Ambulance’s services.
As the challenge draws nearer, we’ll be updating you with the latest news on the team’s training and our fundraising progress. So, keep an eye on our blog, and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and Google+ for all the latest news.
