This October, thirteen members of the Secura team will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London with the aim of raising £5,000 for London’s Air Ambulance charity.
The Royal Parks Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile course which runs through four of London’s Royal Parks; Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James’s Park, and The Green Park.
Starting in Hyde Park, the route passes some of the capital’s most historic landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, Horse Guards Parade and the Royal Albert Hall.
The event has been running for ten years and in that time, has raised over £36 million for around 940 UK charities, including Royal Parks charity which supports and cares for eight of London’s largest and most beautiful green spaces.
In June 2017, the Secura team completed the National Three Peaks Challenge and with your help raised over £15,000 for London’s Air Ambulance charity. The charity is very close to Ollie and Eddie Beaton’s hearts and last year’s challenge and the money raised was dedicated to the memory of their mum, Valerie.
London’s Air Ambulance is now Secura’s chosen partner charity, so your support is hugely appreciated along with any donations (no matter how big or small) you can make to help us reach this year’s £5,000 fundraising target.
Every penny raised will be donated to London’s Air Ambulance to support the incredible work they do delivering advanced trauma teams to critically injured people in and around London.
